I know I’m probably the last to visit LCC cause it seems the whole world has been there lol. Anyway I was excited to be there and I really had a nice time. I took quite a number of beautiful pictures and since I can’t have it all up on my insta, I can have it up here!
So talking about my visit, the canopy walk is the most interesting thing to do there. If you go to LCC and you don’t take this walk then you didn’t exactly go there to have fun, you just went to sightsee. The canopy walk took about 45 minutes for me, the tour guide said it’s about an hour thirty minutes but I didn’t spend up to that. Now, the scary thing about this canopy walk is that it ascends till about 22.5m before it descends. Imagine walking that high on some not so stable, swingy canopy. This thing is extremely strong but my trust issues won’t let me, I was legit screaming Jesus! Mummy! Daddy! Everybody!
Before I could even get a picture of me on the canopy, It was towards the end cause your phone can even fall from you and once its gone, thats literally the end. If you have phobia for height and you get on this, your heart is literally gonna come out of your mouth lol. This is honestly the most interesting thing to do there and its the longest canopy walk in Africa.
Afterwards, I went to the family park, this is like a relaxation centre, its a cool place for a picnic. There are huts you can sit to relax, have coconut water and get good pictures. There are a number of games to play like the chess, the Ludo and some others. The board games have their board built on the ground there and its quite large.
After this, I went to the tree house.
The view of the canopy walk from here, I was like woah!
And, there’s a 95 year old tortoise there too, monkeys, crocodiles, antelopes, snakes and they’re all free living! A few other pictures
And yeah, if you’ve been wanting to go there but haven’t due to funds constraints or thinking cause it’s located in Lekki then its probably expensive, I tell you its not. It cost just a thousand naira to go in per head for sightseeing and another one thousand to do the canopy walk per head. You’ll just be spending two thousand naira only to have a nice tour!
Have you been to the Lekki Conservation Centre? Did you do the canopy walk too? Was it so exciting? And, if you’ve not been there, would you ever like to try the canopy walk? Fill me in in the comment section!
Much love guys!
